M.Tech (Renewable Energy Engineering and Management)
The students have been exposed to technical and management aspects of different areas of renewable energy: wind, solar, thermal, solar PV, energy conservation, energy auditing, green buildings, biofuels, policy, regulatory and economic aspects, grid integration etc.
The University looks forward to forging relationships with the industry for placing students for their summer internships, major projects, and employment after completion of the degree. The two-month summer internship has to be completed at the end of the second semester, during June - July. In the fourth semester, the students are required to do a four-month major project (January - April) in an industry or research organization.
The above are designed to give students an exposure to real life issues and challenges in the field. This also gives them an opportunity to apply the principles and knowledge gained in the classroom.
During the internship and major project, in addition to the professionals in the industry, a faculty member is also assigned to each student to guide and monitor his/her progress.
