The use of geospatial tools for solving, strengthening, and coping with various complex real world issues has become need of life. The M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) programme provides knowledge and understanding to develop innovative ideas for solving real-world problems using such cutting-edge tools. It is an interdisciplinary field of study where students from different backgrounds are trained in geospatial technology. As a core part of this programme, the students are trained to apply their knowledge in geospatial technology on a wide range of fields like spatial planning, ecosystem modeling, water resource management, urban management, climate change modeling, etc.

A strong network with various research institutions, industry, and academic bodies provide a window for interaction with stakeholders. Such an orientation and structure of programme leads students to acquire and update their knowledge to suit the necessity of high-end research in both the corporate and scientific world.
