The Fine Arts Club organized a workshop on “Making Natural Colours” on 18th and 19th of March 2008. Ten M.Sc. students participated in the workshop. With initial guidance being provided by Dr Neeraj Khera, students themselves did a lot of experimentation with various natural materials (different kinds of leaves, petals, henna, turmeric, chandan, beetroot and base materials like arraoat, maida and multani mitti) to get the right colour, texture and fragrance. They successfully made three natural colours – green, yellow and pink and sold 80 packets to folks at TERI. A lot of hard work, but a lot of fun too!
