    Junior Research Fellow (JRF)-NET / Non-NET (Professional Degree)

    Monthly Stipend: Fellowship @ Rs 25000/- pm + HRA @20% per month

    Essential Qualifications:

    For Non-NET JRF:
    PhD Scholar working in Ground Water modelling study / Hydrological modelling systems or M.Tech (Remote sensing) with 60% marks; or equivalent CGPA having experience in Hydrological / Ground Water modelling; or
    M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA having more than one year experience in area of Hydrological / Ground Water modelling systems
    NET JRF:
    MSc in Chemistry/Environmental Science with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA having more than one year experience in area of Hydrological / Ground Water modelling systems(as per DST, GoI norms)

    Terms and conditions:   :
    • Six working days in a week.
    • Frequent visit to Uttarakhand for data collection and ground truthing.
    • Maintenance of strict confidentiality with regard to all data created and collected during the project.

    2) JRF/ SRF (1) for a DST Project Applications are invited for JRF/ SRF (1) for a DST Project entitled “Understanding developmental control of RSA (root system architecture) in Brassica sps”. Candidates with a minimum qualification of M.Sc. (NET/LS) or M. Tech in any branch of Life Sciences (completed not earlier than 2014) with minimum 60% marks are eligible for the post. Candidates interested in pursuing a PhD research programme and fellowship holders will be preferred.

    3) Project Research Assistant
    For the project funded by PCRA, Govt. of India


    Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken by the University. The position is temporary for a period of three months and to be renewed if required.

    Project Title Design, development and testing of a down draft biomass gasifier system complemented by Hydrogen enrichment through air- steam gasification

    Eligibility Criteria: M.Tech in Mechanical, Renewable Energy, Thermal, Chemical engineering
    2. Graduation in Engineering
    3. A minimum of 65% in the bachelor/masters level

    Job Requirement: The selected candidate should work on the design, development and testing of biomass fired gasifier

    Consolidated Salary: Rs. 24,000-30,000 per month


    4) Laboratory Assistant : To assist in supervision of laboratory activities.

    Salary PBI-(5200-20200) + GP 2400 + TP 600

    Qualification, experience and skill required:
    - Bachelor degree in Science or Equivalent
    - Good verbal and written communication
    - Should be an enthusiast, meticulous and action-oriented
    - Should be a team player and a master in utilizing limited resources for optimum outcome.
    - Ability to work under tight time-frames.
    - Ability to multitask on need basis.
    - Experience in working with Microsoft Office & other lab related software.

    Responsibilities:
    - Prepare materials and assemble, disassemble, clean and store equipment needed for individual and group laboratory experiments.
    - Schedule preparation of lab experiments.
    - Store and dispose of hazardous wastes using safety procedures.
    - Assist in informing faculty and staff of proper hazardous waste disposal procedures.
    - Maintain safety protocols in an organized, accessible fashion.
    - Maintain inventory system of all supplies and special equipment
    - Coordinate purchasing of all laboratory supplies and special equipment
    - Coordinate maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    - Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.
    - Assists with record keeping, scheduling, budget administration and facility
    - Assist with supervision of student workers.
    - Help supervise lab exams when needed.
    - Perform clerical tasks as needed.
    - Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
    - Any other work as may be assigned by the University according to the availability of staff, ability and local convenience.
    5) Laboratory Attendant: To assist in the Laboratory activities.


    Salary: PB I- (5200-20200) + GP 1800 + TP 600

    Qualification, experience and skill required:
    - 12th Science or Diploma in any Engineering field
    - Satisfactory verbal and written communication
    - Should be an enthusiast, meticulous and action-oriented
    - Should be a team player and a master in utilizing limited resources for optimum outcome.
    - Ability to work under tight time-frames.
    - Ability to multitask on need basis.
    - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)

    Responsibilities:
    – In charge of the store/stock of concerned Laboratory.
    – Take care about the cleanliness/maintenance of the respective Laboratory.
    – Maintains supply and equipment storage areas.
    – Take care of the electric appliances, taps, gas connections and ensure not to misuse of the above in any circumstance.
    – Provide the practical material/ equipment to the students as per their need.
    – repair the minor fault of the practical equipment with the help of the concerned faculty
    – Assists with answering phones and correspondence; memo distribution.
    – Responsible for picking up/ delivering materials and running errands for the lab.
    – Any other work as may be assigned by the University according to the availability of staff, ability and local convenience.
